The composer Radek Rejsek studied first at the Prague Conservatory (composition with Jindrich Feld and Oldrich Semerak, trumpet with Vaclav Junek and Josef Svejkovsky). He continued his studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (composition with Jiri Dvoracek), and completed them in 1990 at the Janacek's Academy of Performing Arts in Brno (composition with Zdenek Zouhar). Since 1988 he has been employed as music director and program editor (from 1992) in Czech Radio 3. He is the author of several long-term program projects such as 'The Historical Organs' or 'The Bells', and he is also in charge of contemporary - especially electroacoustic - music in Czech Radio. From 1995 to 2001 he was teaching music theory at the Prague conservatory, and since 2004 he has taken up his teaching post at the Conservatory in Ceske Budejovice. The life-time interest of Radek Rejsek is focused on the history and production of organ and on campanology.

1997 - became the vice-chairman of the Society for Electroacoustic Music
1997 - became a member of the Eurocarillon (the international organization of carillon players)
2000 - teacher at the Private film school in Pisek
